NOWZAD NEEDS YOU!

We’ve survived against all odds in war torn Afghanistan, but now we face our toughest challenge to date.

For five years, we have tirelessly rescued stray and abandoned animals living in the most appalling conditions in Afghanistan, re-homing many with serving troops from Britain, America and beyond. But now our good work may soon come to an end. Through no fault of our own, we find ourselves homeless and have until July to fund and build a new shelter in Kabul. If we fail, Nowzad will close. The 90 dogs and cats currently in our care will become homeless and countless more will be sentenced to a life of despair on the unforgiving Afghan streets.

We need your help and we need it now. Please spread the word and, if you’re in a position to, please donate whatever you can spare. Every penny helps.

Afghanistan hasn’t beaten us yet!

A very kind donor has offered to double all donations received for the Nowzad  Shelter Appeal up to a total of $15,000.  So, this means we have the chance to turn $15,000 into $30,000 between 05 May and 20 Mat 2012.  Please help us by donating!

The life of Afghan animals is not one of comfort at the best of times; most of the day is spent hunting for scraps of food or hiding from the hot desert sun during the summer or the freezing cold of a desert winter night. There is definitely no pampered pet status in Afghanistan – Pen Farthing
